Interviews with drivers, team principals and other people one way or another attached to the teams indicate that the next few weeks will be proper hot for the driver market. Nobody's waiting for the summer break silly season. Now is the silly season.

Lewis Hamilton has won the Chinese Grand Prix a total of 6 times, which currently (and for at least the next 4 years) makes him the most decorated F1 driver in this circuit. Alonso and Rosberg are in the shared 2nd place with 2 wins each. Other 6 drivers won it once.

'There's not been a moment where I questioned it'

I don't blame him. Frankly, I can't think of a single moment this season so far that could have possibly made him question the move. Even a little ๐Ÿ˜„

What kind of official scam is this? Oversold the event and need to reduce capacity, or realized demand is higher than anticipated and want to cash in on the tickets even more? Either way - optics of this are simply fantastic... not.

Back in '19 during FP of the Chinese GP Alex Albon totalled his Toro Rosso by going a bit wide at the final corner, even though the run off was all tarmac. This year that section has been upgraded and a strip of gravel added between the curb and the tarmac. Good luck.

'Helmut Marko has confirmed to Kleine Zeitung that Red Bull is talking/has talked to Carlos Sainz. But also that Sainz has a very lucrative offer from Audi.'

Strangely, Mercedes isn't mentioned here. But perhaps Marko just hasn't got information from that camp.

Another race, another full weekend Williams pair are required to drive on eggshells in order to not damage the cars, as reportedly the team still hasn't got a spare chassis.

This time round, though, it's an untested, bumpy, partially painted circuit with rain in sight ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

'Nothing's changed with our car, so itโ€™s going to be the same car this weekend.' - Lewis Hamilton

So a bit more tinkering with the setup, 'some new direction' as per Lewis, and eternal hope by the team that something will eventually work. Will it though?

Isn't it crazy that with these ground effect regs the entire sport came to what seems to be a single engineer holding all the power. 3rd year running nobody can even match him. His every move is being closely followed, and wherever he goes - WCC is assumed to follow.

I bet you McLaren is also one of those 4 teams using that Neuro AI for aero development. They seem to be moving with times and forwards in all directions and before long will hit the silver bullet.

Very interesting and a rather fun fact. Most advanced engines, complicated aero and a bunch of world leading tech with petabytes of information flowing between computers and sensors... yet 720p camera quality is all that's available so far. Go figure.

It's interesting Mercedes stated they were giving Kimi a proper test of their car, yet chose to run him in W12 - a car from the previous generation of rules. All despite being officially allowed to test in W13 or W14.

If I grasped the new '26 aero rules right, 's going to replace artificial overtake gimmick, that is manually enabled DRS, with something very similar but for both wings and automatically controlled. And in addition add manually enabled power boosting overtake button. Erm... ๐Ÿฅด

Seen evidence it's a bit wet in Shanghai at the moment. Any chance we add unpredictability of a wet race to the mix of unpredictability of a track no one's raced on in a while (and with the current gen cars) and the fact it's a sprint weekend with only a single FP session?
