It's August 1. Columbus Catholic Bishop Earl Fernandes no longer allows the Paulists to preach at the St. Thomas More Newman Center, but our hopes remain for a solution to keep the entire flock together. Our prayers to #SaveTheColumbusPaulists continue.

You should also ask him about removing the words “ALL ARE WELCOME” from the signage outside the St. Thomas More Newman Center.

Imagine telling people where they should feel comfortable and welcomed at church rather than letting them determine that while being guided by the Spirit.

Imagine thinking that making a church less inclusive is what Jesus would want.

Imagine feeling joy while knowing your brothers and sisters in Christ are suffering deeply.

So it makes total sense to take the fire of the Holy Spirit off the sign outside the St. Thomas More Newman Center then.

So, all are welcome or nah, Columbus Catholic? Asking for our Newman Center friends and the Paulist priests who have been explicitly told they’re not welcome there anymore.
