Excavations are underway at the ancient Roman town of Falerii Novi! ⛏️

Over 40 students/researchers from the UK and Europe are making new discoveries about the 2000-year old settlement.

This week, the team uncovered the walls of a taberna (shop) and a well-worn road 👇

Week 1 at Falerii Novi Project is seeing good progress. Excavations in a taberna on the northern flank of the forum - lots of use, reuse and several architectural phases - and training in drone orthophoto.
