People talking about round three for Erceg are forgetting that his elbow didn't rock Pantoja, just cut him, and Pantoja DID rock Erceg badly.

Yeah see im scoring this fight 48-47 for Pantoja but if he doesn't end the fight on top then he loses that. Erceg gave the fight away with a terrible fight IQ move, amazingly bad takedown attempt decision.

Biiiig mistake for Erceg to shoot. Even tho he landed it it's obvious that that'll give Pantoja a chance to wrestle up on the single. And that's exactly what he did.

DC realized after two five round Pantoja fights that he always looks tired but is able to keep going and isn't gassed out

29-28 Pantoja after three rounds. Biiiig round by hurting Erceg badly on the feet. Erceg is slowing down and is much more liable to be caught in a pocket exchange.

19-19 maybe? Think Erceg took round two. Pantoja needs to get to clinches and duck under, then trip to back take, rather than going for real takedowns

Steve Erceg has great footwork and we saw in the first half of R1 how that can trouble Pantoja, just by being in the right place at all times he's able to make it tough for the champ. But he doesn't have other elite attributes that can separate him, like Pantoja does w grappling
