I really do think people forget that autism is a whole disability that impacts how you process, communicate, and perceive the world. The amount of people who act like people w/ autism just aren’t trying hard enough to “get it” makes that abundantly clear.

I use this example often, but first generation Africans to the US or UK, are less likely to have pregnancy complications that Black Americans or Africans that have been here for at least 2-3 generations have because of racism and the social determinants of health
