The round church was built in 1161 and modelled on the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem, site of Christ’s death and burial. The medieval symbolism is especially resonant on Good Friday. Temple Church
A beautiful Good Friday afternoon in the Temple for the last concert in our Holy Week Festival: an unforgettable performance of Messiaen’s Quartet for the End of Time - in the Round by Julian Bliss, Jonathan Stone, Tim Lowe and James Cheung.

Could today be any more beautiful? We kick off at 11am in Temple Church with the next instalment of BachProject48. Meanwhile over in The Inner Temple our amazing string team have arrived for a day of rehearsals. Spirits are high!
Bravo Thomas Allery & Temple Singers on a deeply moving rush-hour concert of choral laments. The Rubbra Tenebrae (3rd Nocturne) and the Mauersberger (Wie liegt die Stadt so wüs) were so powerful! Breathtaking stuff.
