- No press allowed inside Hind’s Hall, including WKCR.
- Multiple Columbia students were taken straight to the hospital due to severe injuries by NYPD.
- Students had swollen faces from being kicked repeatedly by police.

Can only think today about how sickened I feel by this govt, the police, university administrations, & Israel's genocide in Gaza. Despite this deep bleakness, I am so moved by student-led activism & the fact that the tide is turning & we will, thankfully, never be able go back.

Where to begin? I can barely get out of bed after witnessing that coast-to-coast orgy of violence last night. I am sick with grief and disgust after seeing the harm most universities, their presidents and many pundits will gleefully unleash on our precious, principled students.

It will always be Hind's Hall. That cannot be undone. (Alexander) Hamilton Hall is kaput. Hamilton is irrelevant.

The students who dropped that banner changed the name of this hall forever. It belongs to Hind'.

My feelings basically exactly. In my twenties, I was smitten with Auster's writing. It began to show me what novels could be, do, mean. That meant a whole lot. I saw him on the train once, wearing a red scarf, and could hardly believe he was real.

What more is there to say? The line was supposed to be “vote Dem or get fascism” but under Biden we have military cops gassing kids all across the US. The majority of the country is appalled by genocide in Gaza and yet this government is pretending that view is criminal.
