95% of Marketing is explaining to the client how marketing works. I have never seen a window cleaner explaining how cleaning works. Why? - it’s boring to the client - it’s easy to understand - it’s a 0 or 1 outcome (clean or not) Marketing is never 0 or 1. It’s always 0.xx

I see many small and local businesses running X ads here. I’m not sure they are effective interms of conversions. Has anyone tried those ads lately and what is your feedback on them? I’ve seen people give feedback on SaaS ads before but that’s not what I’m looking for.

Most of my small biz clients skipped monthly SEO because they couldn’t afford it. A cheaper one-off SEO audit + fix still made a quick impact on their organic ranking and traffic. To maintain such results they ideally go for regular audits + fixes (quarterly or bi-annually).

Today marks one year anniversary on telling my workmates that we need to run this agency like a window cleaning company. No questions. No reports. No emails. No meetings. No disruptions. Just deliver the job and send invoices.

The reason most websites not earning natural backlinks is because nothing is worth linking to and even when there is anything worth linking to, they don’t make enough people aware about it, so you resort to the easier route of buying links just like most websites.

We were supposed to kick this one off on Monday, but here we are it's Thursday and the salespeople did not touch one prospect's contacts yet. Sales is not for the laid back people. If you don't want the grind, look for some other job. There's a reason why I'm in marketing.

25% of company directors are active on LinkedIn (Source: Sales Navigator) This means they have posted/shouted about some news in the past 30 days. If you sell anything and not monitor such activity, you’re leaving money on the table. Want this data in a spreadsheet? DM me.
