I agree, Cold emailing founder works only if the founder is in need of talent. Talent is our biggest pain hence why we use referrals or pouch if possible. Recruitment is so painfull and takes time

The world of Philanthropy & Big Aid for a long time has been told Africa needs subsidized goods and services. The intention was well but do we see sustainability post subsidy? Or has susbsidy killed the market for SMEs because we just cant compete

Its Day 2 at Skoll World Forum and a couple of themes have emerged;
1. Those closest to the problem understand it best. Local founders=context
2. Funding has to move towards Trust-Based Philanthropy. Founder needs to stay focused on solving the problem not donor reports #SkollWF
