We've spotted some black-headed gull chicks on the islands this week. These spotty chicks blend into the rocks and ground cover easily. Their parents will keep an eye out our for aerial predators, arising en masse to mob any in the vicinity!

Lovely day in and around Arundel today! No Bittern for me at WWT Arundel Wetland Centre but stunning views of Peregrine. 😍

Some raptor watching at the end of the day with 3 Red Kites. Also a lifer of Grey Partridge!

A bucolic spring scene under a feeder at WWT Arundel Wetland Centre today...until a pair of rats appeared. One bit the mallard drake, but the ducklings waddled away safely. 🫣
