Cracking day around the patch today, with three NFY Common Scoter(5), Bittern and Wood Sandpiper with other h.lights being a male Ring Ouzel, the fourth of the spring, with 3 Fieldfare, 8 White Wagtail and a flock of 18 Whimbrel all on the marshes. Distant clip of the Wood Sand.

Spotted a Yellow Wagtail in flight from the beach this afternoon and knew exactly where we'd find it - the deliciously muddy edges of the marsh at Glebe. A male of the flava subspecies this time. And then to top it off the Corncrake starting singing in the background!
