ID help please.
Seen in New Forest, on ~5 foot young pine. Area had gorse, with other interspersed young trees giving way to open heath/moorland.
Several species seem possible fits - I have made my mind up - but not too confident.

In the spring, the Snake's-head Fritillary blooms among other beautiful flowers like lady's smock and marsh marigold. It's hanging wine-red crowns are gorgeous to behold.

Have you spotted birds nesting near you?

Look out for the blue tits, great tits, and blackbirds actively building their nests.

Their dedication to creating a safe home for their young is truly inspirational.

BBC News (UK) Are badgers common in the UK, especially in Kent? I live in Tunbridge Wells, and a few months back, I caught something on video that resembled one. Any insights?

Water voles, or 'Ratty', are a delightful sight during April when they begin to breed. Keep an eye out for burrows in the riverbank, surrounded by a nibbled 'lawn' of grass with a distinctive 45Β° angled cut!
