We *LOVE* it we streets are turned into PARKS!

Extremely disappointing to see more time wasted on outreach paralysis on this. La Brea is on the Mobility 2035 Transit Enhanced Network for 24-hour lanes. Doesn't that require LA City to implement bus lanes here after Measure HLA? Streets For All
“Don’t try to ride in the new bike lanes on trash day!
They do make perfect trash can lanes though”
We have an issue of basic common sense of functionality/structural systems.

✅PASSED COMMITTEE: SB 1216, our bill by Senator Catherine Blakespear. California is on our way to prohibit sharrows on streets above 30mph!
The entitlement of some drivers is staggering. Not only do they have almost 100% of the public highway, but want the minimal public space left for pedestrians and cyclists. Not everyone can get off their bike and walk round!!!Those with disabilities cycle to. #StreetsForAll

✅ PASSED COMMITTEE: SB 960, which will ensure better accommodations for transit riders, pedestrians, folks w/ disabilities, and other non-motorists on Caltrans streets. Congrats & thanks to sponsor Senator Scott Wiener and cosponsors California Bicycle Coalition & SPUR!
Sam Balto Many of us do understand and see the benefit of urban tacticalism, quick builds, and pilot programs in making safety improvements on our streets while we secure the funding to make permanent, long term changes. Both have a place when it comes to #streetsforall & #visionzero
Partnership work is so important. Through collaboration, our voices are louder and our message is amplified.
We are really looking forward to working with #VisionNorthumberland and RNIB North East on our street safety project. More soon.

✅ PASSED COMMITTEE: SB 961! This bill introduced by Senator Scott Wiener would put speed alerts on all automobiles sold or manufactured in California. Much like a seatbelt alert or a swerve lane notice, this technology is already common in the European Union.
✅ PASSED COMMITTEE: Legislation (AB 3177) to keep cities from making builders of new homes spend 💰 — and give up land needed for 🏡 — to add lanes to streets. Kudos to Wendy Carrillo for championing this effort to make housing cheaper, faster & more plentiful.
