This section of Sibelius's Violin Concerto is what can be described as heavenly, with the soloist's section filled with intense emotion.

It is a must-listen to, no excuses.

This early work of Sibelius is a pretty underrated choral symphony. It’s based on the story of Kullervo from the Finnish epic poem Kalevala. Sibelius came to dislike the piece as his craft matured, but it’s still a very impressive late Romantic symphony that’s worth checking out
