Nice out the back on the Montgomeryshire Canal today . You don’t need to go anywhere when it’s like this ☀️ and the bank holiday traffic looks like hell anyway - think I’ll just chill in the sun and have a read 😎

In case you're wondering what could have happened in Montgomeryshire between 2005-10 that made the Lib Dem vote collapse so spectacularly

Happy Friday Everyone! Hope you've all got exciting plans for the weekend ahead🙃! As a pre-weekend treat, just thought I'd let you know that I have finished mapping the Historic Civil Parish Boundaries of Montgomeryshire. Next week I'll be moving on to Radnorshire.

An enjoyable walk around Woodland Trust🌳 Coed Gaer near Guilsfield, Montgomeryshire this morning. Singing Tree Pipit, Redstarts everywhere + 3 dapper male Pied Flycatchers. Overnight recording in landlocked mid wales produced a fine Curlew, Ringed Plover and Common Sand 👍

Embarrassing Confession. Mapping of Montgomeryshire. One in particular peaked my interest as on first reading of the Placename thought it read 'Clet er ood', very unusual! Only later realised some of the letters had faded on map and it actually read 'Cletterwood'😬

Happy Friday All! As a pre-weekend treat I thought I'd show you how I've been getting on mapping the Historic Parishes of Montgomeryshire. As you can see I've already mapped over half the County, not bad for a few days work! Should be finished next week with a bit of luck🤞😀
