Happy #monitoringmay to all the midwives and other obstetric professionals keeping mums and babies safe. To celebrate, we thought we'd post a video we were sent of a midwife using a donated #Sonicade #fetalDoppler to auscultate.

We are hosting an online learning event #monitoringmay in relation to fetal monitoring &improving outcomes. If you/your team could present this work to a group of passionate #QI midwives to support them in raising concerns with staffing we would be most grateful Sarah blackwell

Each April/May smoke is coming off my thumbs from messaging the iconic Sarah blackwell about all things #monitoringmay I’m delighted this year is no different. I think if anything, we’ve grown more excitable and enthusiastic with each passing year! It’s going to be the best yet!

Rita Arya Susie Crowe I agree but also focus on the mother , there is quite detailed guidance on informed consent for fetal heart beat monitoring in NICE which we are not fulfilling as I discussed recently at #monitoringmay we are too busy arguing & it needs to stop #matexp

Sarah blackwell You have been central to this. I think it’s great there are leads to bring things back to units from #MonitoringMay and meetings Trainees find it stressful with units using NICE/ FIGO/ physiology and rotating/ doing locums Think we need to involve them with these meetings.
