MCAS & Mastozytose bedeuten einen bunten Blumenstrauß an Symptomen (die aufgezählten sind nur die allerhäufigsten) und ist nicht heilbar.

Auch ist es aktuell eine Art 'Modekrankheit', was den wirklich Betroffenen das Leben noch schwerer macht.

It's #mastcellawarenessday . I developed MCAS while in grad school. For me, MCAS means hives, headaches, inflammation, and anaphylaxis. I control my condition by doing home injections of Xolair, and taking a combination of drugs to inhibit mast cell activation. 1/6

October 20th is #mastcellawarenessday ! Creating more awareness leads to a quicker diagnosis and treatment path for patients suffering from symptoms of mast cell diseases. Many #pwME and #pwLC are also being diagnosed with #MCAS . At RTHM we look for MCAS in all of our patients!

Meine #MCAS -Erkrankung konnte zum Glück relativ schnell diagnostiziert werden. Nur 1,5 Jahre, nachdem meine Mastzellen mich (zwischenzeitlich) komplett arbeitsunfähig machen und zu großen Teilen ans Bett fesselten. Oft dauert es viel, viel länger!
