Ubiquitous in water bodies this plant is one of the most troublesome aquatic plants. Cultivated as an ornamental, it affects native fish, fisheries and also serves as a breeding ground for mosquitoes.

Japanese Knotweed is a wickedly invasive plant, very difficult to kill… with tasty shoots that come up right around 🌎 Earth Day 🌎. They taste like a cross between rhubarb and artichoke. Try some!

My contribution:
Himalayan Giant Rubus armeniacus
Native to Eurasia & introduced to the UK as a garden cultivar for it’s large, early-ripening fruits. Extremely vigorous, reaching 4 m in a growing season, making management extremely difficult.
