Our mission is to serve the general interest of the EU and need the trust of European citizens. That is why 🇪🇺 institutions must meet the highest standards of independence, integrity and impartiality.

🤝 EU interinstitutional ethics body: EU ambassadors confirmed today the provisional agreement for the @EU_Council.

This new body will ensure that EU institutions and bodies have robust ethics frameworks in place, and foster a common culture of integrity.

The European Committee of the Regions has been an active stakeholder in the interinstitutional discussions.

We firmly believe that our Union needs to continue its work towards stronger ethical rules ⤵️

As my last #EU2020HR conversations, just had a great exchange with Ursula von der Leyen and Roberta Metsola. We kicked off the process of interinstitutional discussions and prepared the ground for #EU2020DE so that we could start the Conference on the Future of Europe asap. 🇪🇺
