Imam Malik was asked by a man: βyou narrate a hadith yet you give fatwa opposite to it?β To which he replied βi narrate that Hadith so that people like you donβt come up to me and say I didnβt know the hadith.β
To have no madhab and for everyone to become a mujtahid is a fitnah.
