1) call early in the morning (consultants have lives too)
2) try to have a specific question: not “pt is anemic” but rather “anemia, low retic, no fecal occult blood, norm Fe/B12/folate —> do we need bone marrow bx?”

Secondary Hypertension

Consider in patients with:
- Resistant hypertension
- Abrupt onset hypertension
- Worsening of previously controlled hypertension.

Common causes:
- Renal artery stenosis
- Sleep apnea
- Primary hyperaldosteronism.
