And would mean that we wouldn't have to import as much as 18%. Such a programme would have provided jobs and embedded know how which we could have exported.

Since EDF is now owned by the French government, the deals being made for Sizewell C mean that France will be taxing British citizens directly. I’m sure they appreciate it. Maybe they’ll send a nice thank you note.
