RustTrialPile Endurance, persistence, psychological stability, & emotional intelligence count for much in these environments. One cannot deny elite schools - even better when accompanied by prestigious federal appellate clerkships - get a person in the door. From there, one has to produce.
Dan Abrams Is this for real? It’s so absurd it almost reads like satire or a belated April Fools joke.
RustTrialPile Santa Fe New Mexican From the story: “meaning they lacked essential evidence or weren’t valid due to violation of a defendant’s constitutional right or some other flaw.” Uncooperative: they didn’t appear for pretrial interviews or similar
RustTrialPile Thanks there are a couple parts to the story so maybe you weren’t searching the right document. I’m just glad to have it done! 😆
Dan Abrams Idea! If the Columbia Law Review students end up all getting automatic passing grades as they’ve demanded they should be required to do a summer of OPLive ride alongs instead of cushy Summer Associate positions.
Andy Herren Lol. Reminds me of when I tweeted Jeff Probst some constructive criticism years ago about Survivor commercials and he absolutely flipped out on me. Oops!
Phaedra Haywood I read it a few times and there’s no mention of constitutional right. I even did a word search. Either way…seems very problematic. The non-viable and uncooperative numbers aren’t normal. Keep up the good work!
Roger D Klein, MD JD This is such a good point. Reminds me of my occasional 100+ hour weeks in BigLaw. Many Ivy Leaguers couldn’t keep up. I went to a “lesser” school and ended up surviving three rounds of layoffs while some Ivy Leaguers got the boot.
