Gifted clusters, grade 9/10 pre-IB programs, AP prep clusters from grade 9-12. All of these and more still exist in publicly funded #Onted schools. All of them remind us that “destreaming” is an illusion in Ontario to save $$ and the “smart” kids get their own classes, as always.

All school boards in #OntEd have been forced to make cuts that impact our most vulnerable students in order to stay afloat. Boards are threatened with provincial takeover. These are dark days in public education. We need a new healthcare and education-friendly government.

Glad to see Ontario media digging into current vs. pre-pandemic absence rates. Minister of Education @sflecce refuses to share these data with Ontario families! He also categorically refuses to implement simple, evidence-based strategies to help keep kids in class. Why? #onted

Ontario has world class teachers and students. They work everyday to do great things as the Ford govt continues to erode the world class education system they inherited 6 years ago. Cuts hurt kids. Thank you to the teachers/educators, students, families and communities. #OntEd

It amazes me how #tvdsb 's mantra of relationships first only applies to staff and students, and not principal and staff. Perhaps admin teams require training on relationship building? Happy staff members will go a long way to improving the school climate! #onted #cdned #edchat
