🔘Treponemal tests (TT) :
based upon the detection of antibodies directed against specific treponemal antigens (more specific)

With more effective treatment strategies and more reliable serological tests for syphilis, the benchmark for serological cure has now shifted from seroreversion (i.e. become nonreactive) to a 4-fold decline in nontreponemal antibody titers.
