Filming at Traeth Llanddwyn Beach for #HouseOfTheDragon S2 will reportedly feature “a man walking towards the sea, talking to his dragon”

In a recent interview with THR, Matt Smith stated that a spin-off of his character would “start off on a beach looking for a red dragon.”

Today is St Dwynwen's Day, Wales's own special Valentines Day, named after our patron saint of lovers who lived on the beautiful island of Llanddwyn.

Filming is currently taking place at Llanddwyn beach.

DaliyPost has reported that one of the scene will be “a man walking on the beach and talking to his dragon” but Matt Smith isn’t on set so the “man” might not be Daemon, but Rhaenyra or someone else with blonde hair.

Monday in Angelsey. After Ynys Llanddwyn we headed to Trefignath. Building work going on nearby which made for a noisy visit!

First leaks from today’s filming at Llanddwyn beach: we see multiple people in the boats and standing in a line. The scene might be the Red Sowing, or the Dragonseeds claiming the dragons — perhaps we can see Nettles here too!

A classic location and spot, this is Llanddwyn Island and the lighthouse at the end of the island. I'm still looking for that fantastic last minute light with a sky full of clouds but this isn't too shabby either and a great way to spend a few moments at the end of the day.
