Is it intended that the default text installer of #OpenIndiana ( #Hipster ) does not support #IPv6 only network configuration and forces me to add #IPv4 configuration (even I do not have one)? Guess, I spoilered something for #BoxyBSD now.
IPv4, the current dominant protocol, is facing address exhaustion. IPv6 is the next-generation IP addressing standard that provides a vastly larger address space. It offers improved security features and better autoconfiguration capabilities.
Opinionated engineers & programmers are blocking our #IPv6 deployment and applicaiton of advanced security features, resulting in low enterprise adoption due to reliance on outdated OSs, hardware, and applications.
