A thread of official flags/heraldry with non-avian dinosaurs on them; starting with Kulindadromeus, a neornithischian found on the flag of the Chernyshevsky District in Russia. An important find as its integument suggests protofeathers in some of the earliest dinosaurs. 1/11

Why do so many of the Ruling Families prefer this type of heraldry?

Why does it say about them?

What does it tell you about our relationship to them?

David Gallagher's illustrations of a Reiksguard Knight, for 'Uniforms & Heraldry of The Empire' book, and a Greatsword, possibly from the Grand Barony of Hochland, for the cover of 'Old World Armoury' supplement book for Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay, 2nd edition.

I think it’s really cool how Alatreon and Grigori’s face design can seem silly at first, given how dragon designs have changed over the years. Then you realize that’s EXACTLY how dragons were depicted on medieval European heraldry!
