One of the recent use cases for GoLang was building a worker for an SQS queue that receives over 50m jobs/day. There were 100 PHP workers maxing out a 4 vCPU instance.

Switching to Go & using coroutines allowed us to run 700 workers on the same machine.

Day 3 of GoLang

Pointers are assigned to a memory address, using the & operator, which returns the memory address of a variable.
*operator is called the dereferencing operator.

It can be used to access the underlying value of a pointer, we can use the * operator

Go symbolization/stack walking (pclntab) support landed in wzprof. This feature was a lot of fun to build!

If you're into that kind of thing and don't quite want to read the whole pull request, here's a thread for you 🧵

Day 2

Working on Go interfaces today. Found the concept of interfaces a bit complex considering the fact I'm coming from a non object-oriented background😂

I usually don’t promote my YouTube videos on Twitter, but this was fun to make.

Worker threads bring multithreading to Node.js, making CPU-bound operations a bit more feasible. I still love Golang, but this is pretty cool.

Here's a little preview of what the network might look like after the complete rewrite from Golang to Rust.

It is impressive how many blocks are created in the process. This shows the potential of $kas.

In the picture, it should be around 32 blocks per second.
