Yesterday was awesome in the Azores I took part in the Marine Biologist for a Day with Futurismo Azores Adventures - it was amazing (Atl. Spotted & Bottlenose🐬 & Sperm 🐋)
We also helped retrieve a Ghost Net from the water which needed three boats as it was too heavy for our rib #ghostnets
Filling #PlasticBottles with #PlasticWaste and sand, stitching with #GhostNets which we recover from the #ocean to build community #RecyclingBbins and pots to #GrowTrees in them.

The scariest thing today are ghost nets (lost and abandoned fishing nets) entangling sea turtles, whales, dolphins, and porpoises, as well as sharks, seals, and seabirds. The nets also damage coral reef habitat.
