Posing a question to all genealogists! Where is the name of your favorite genealogical library and where is it located? A colleague wants to send copies of his books to many libraries.

You might have seen us mention the 1931 Census. It’s a pretty big deal in Canada’s history and genealogy. But why is it so important?

Check out our blog to learn why we’re so excited for this upcoming milestone: ow.ly/AFrE50OwVZO

Launching this June! 🥳

Had to pull this out this evening & make a transcript for an article. Marriage contract between Alexander, son of Duncan Stewart of Ardsheal & Anna, daughter of Alexander Stewart of Ballachulish, dated 1667. The groom was subsequently killed at the battle of Dunkeld in 1689.

Diana & Charles divorced, but that meant Charles could never remarry as long as Diana lived. He had to be a widower to do so. Camilla was his mistress. Diana had to die. So, who really is at fault here? Haters hate the wrong person.

Found evidence that the lease for the Reader's House in was once held by my ancestor Richard Cam (d. 1625) and his son-in-law, Yorkshire preacher Thomas Kay, whose name is still inscribed in the timber. The house remained in the family until 1710.
