It’s just hard to see demographics pushed out of the market because these prices for the same work / materials they were doing 4 years ago is now quadrupled. This isn’t entirely a bad thing but it’s the truth and it sucks to see sometimes

This is a hot take because I want to respect the art and the work put into it but I also wish that the market could be more realistic. This is an entirely worse problem outside of the fandom as well obviously but I was just using this as an example since I saw something

I love the fursuit maker friends that have because the quality matches the price. I don’t care if a suit is $7k if it’s worth $7k. I don’t care if a suit is $3k if the quality is $3k. Obviously labor = profit and that’s how it should be but don’t chop your quality AND charge more

The cost and labor of fursuits (materials + time) is just simply nowhere near what some people are charging it’s actually insane

Now I am also a firm believer in setting your prices

But as someone who knows plenty of fursuit makers I see genuine scammers out there so be careful
