The adorable Freya the walrus was needlessly killed by Norway a year ago today.

Her death was caused by the public's refusal to leave her in peace & Norway's failure to control them.

People hounded her; the authorities shot her & dissolved her body in lye.

#FreyaTheWalrus wasn't 'euthanized' - she was murdered

Remembering #FreyaTheWalrus Frank Bakke Jenson ordered her death. She'd been here in the #UK a few months before & we'd kept her safe.

The irony is the crowds that pestered her would've subsided 2 days after the Directorate of fisheries had her killed (hols over in Norway)

Blue Planet Society I am still sad. We really tried to keep #Freyathewalrus safe, many nice nature friends along the Norway coast. She was allowed to rest on boats and docks in small towns. I met her in Risør. People were curious, but kept safe distance. Then some weird people filed complaints...

#Harry thinking he's in an alternative #disney #fairytale and not knowing when to stop forcing his sense of entitlement onto other creatures and THEIR personal space is EXACTLY the reason that #freyathewalrus was killed.
