Hannah Bourne-Taylor One of the female sparrows on the fat ball was #FirstBirdOfMyDay this morning. Shot one on the lawn the other day standing quite tall😀
First bird of my day: the Dunnock, waking up, standing tall and straight almost on its tiptoes, it stretches its wings out, one after the other. #FirstBirdOfMyDay #WhatsYours
Hannah Bourne-Taylor Female Blackbird was the #FirstBirdOfMyDay today.
I have an almost daily close encounter with this kestrel at the moment, sometimes the male flies out first but the female always waits until I’m right underneath.
Hannah Bourne-Taylor #FirstBirdOfMyDay Two ducks, I think, flying diagonally across my small window view (sorry for glare in photo). Or they might have been moorhens, both have been spotted in their pond by next door but one. 🙂 Time we planned a pond for our back garden I think!
Hannah Bourne-Taylor A very large crow at a petrol station on a very early dart to Cwm Mynach was #FirstBirdOfMyDay . Lots of bird song on arrival including my first cuckoo of the year😌
Hannah Bourne-Taylor I'm sure the baby robin will fair well in your care. #FirstBirdOfMyDay #WhatsYours Not my first bird, but wanted to share my local patch - 3 acres of avian paradise - counted 35 species in the wood and field margins in 40 mins, inc a lovely par of Willow Tits.
When you day starts like this.....and then gets better....Andean Cock-of-the-Rock, Refugio Paz de Las Aves, Ecuador. Well worth the 4am alarm call. #BirdsSeenIn2023 #FirstBirdOfMyDay

Hannah Bourne-Taylor First birds of my day : my little mates who always come to me for a treat when I walk this way with the dog #FirstBirdOfMyDay #WhatsYours
Hannah Bourne-Taylor Love a cheery Robin. #FirstBirdOfMyDay #WhatsYours Not the first but so pleased to see/hear a Lesser whitethroat - listen to the end.
#FirstBirdOfMyDay : House finches filling up at the feeders. No sign of the robins, even though I got out early to replenish the mealworms.
#WhatsYours
