April 22nd 1982: Falkland Islanders awake to the dawn chorus of Argentine soldiers stepping on their own mines whilst attending a call of nature: 'causing several deaths among the Argentine troops. They wander among the mines, still dazed & fuddled with sleep, then step on them.'

April 23rd 1982: in the war, British made Tiger Cat missiles and 105mm Pack howitzers, unloaded by ship the night before, are in place around Stanley airport. Covert photos by Falkland Islanders are taken to help the British task force.

April 24th 1982: Argentine forces in the Falklands establish an advanced air strip on Pebble Island, north of West Falkland, which will be home to ground attack planes such as Pucaras and Turbo Mentors. The base is known as 'Calderon'.

Uno scivolone del genere Barbero lo ha fatto pure sulle isole Falkland (le Malvinas per gli argentini).
In quel caso fondava la legittimità del possesso inglese delle isole, sulla condanna - di per sé appropriata - al terribile regime autoritario argentino.
