Scurvy-grass on the vast and impressive Dee Estuary saltmarshes. I believe the current thinking is that these are mosly the hybrid Cochlearia x hollandica, which would explain why ID has always been so difficult.

The Klamath River continues to clear up. Water quality is pretty much normal for this time of year. These photos were taken this morning between the Klamath estuary to the Glen. Happy Friday!

'A Suffolk Estuary, Low Tide.' (1960) Edward Seago's paintings contradict the cliché that watercolours are mild. In this work, it's the freshness, spontaneity, and evanescence that perfectly sums up a day's end or a day's beginning.

This evening’s view from the Ffordd Ddu (the black road) overlooking the Mawddach Estuary. The light was fantastically crisp and blue with sparkly motes - or perhaps that was just my eyes
