My backpack is an embodiment of the untamed spirit of the desert. . 🌄 It carries not only my essentials but also the intangible energy of vast landscapes and ancient stories. It's time to forge my own desert path🔮

Visited Whitlingham Park and walked around the lake, found a large patch of Amphibious Bistort in flower. Lots of Canada and Egyptian Geese present. Several Great Crested Grebe but mostly sticking to the centre of the lake.

If you saw some people frantically herding 2 Egyptian geese & their goslings along Addiscombe Road in the rush hour today, we were among them. On advice from a wildlife rescue, we shepherded them back to their pond at Shirley Park Golf course. Is it too early for a stiff drink?!

There were quite a few Egyptian geese - funnily enough, some of the students who got stuck in London say they saw them there too! And a Hamerkop! And a Hamerkop nest!! And also some guineafowl...

Gillian Godsell Ferial Haffajee Good morning Gillian all I hear in this suburb are about 7 Hadedas and 2 Egyptian geese. On the rooftop, my bottlebrush can’t hold them. Enjoy the day.

Geese to come? Egyptian Geese, a parent and 8 juveniles today. Still a slightly less than common goose on the Thames at Reading, but 8 juveniles suggests numbers might grow substantially in the next few years.
