It’s National Gardening Day! 🌿

For over 10 years, Bristol charity Alive, has run gardening sessions for those living with dementia and recently in 2021 they started a dementia-friendly allotment in Brentry.

-Pick a place that is familiar and non-threatening
-Find a quiet time to speak
-Choose the words you use carefully
-Be positive
-Listen to the person

One in three people with dementia still drives. The most important thing is whether the person can still drive safely.

After a diagnosis, if the person continues to want to drive they must take certain steps and let DVLA/DVA decide.
