I've got a feeling, and this is just a guess by the way, but I think that Chernobyl was Ukraine's Chernobyl.

Drone footage in Chernobyl confirms ruZZians dug trenches in contaminated soil.

What kind of country sends their citizens into such a place and has them dig? ruZZia is a cancer to everyone, including itself.

I'm just wondering how someone like the Times can post articles like this one. 'The country's 'Chernobyl''?? Like, hello. First of all, it's ChOrnobyl. Second, Chernobyl is Ukraine. Did you ever open the map???

Gotta feel sorry for the journalists in Ukraine who wrote a decent article about the long term consequences of Russia’s actions - with a comparison to how Chernobyl affected future generations - only for a subeditor to slap this headline on it.

Friendly reminder: when you are amplifying Ukrainian history, or sharing badly-translated poetry, make sure things are spelled correctly.

Kyiv, not Kiev. Dnipro, not Dnieper, Chornobyl, not Chernobyl. Odesa, not Odessa.

Language is political. Use it correctly.

Another reason you should let writers have input in headlines. This is a good article and the journalist knows that Chernobyl is in Ukraine! But the headline writer seems not to and it makes the writer’s life worse.

Where do these folks think Chernobyl is ??? 🤨🤦🏻‍♂️
The incident happened when the USSR was around....when the USSR was divided into a bunch of countries, Chernobyl ended up in Ukraine.
Time has no idea WTF it's talking about 😂😂😂😂😂
