Tried to visit Magheross Church and graveyard in Carrickmacross today... Sadly the gate was locked with no indication of who to contact for access.

Corr na Sasanach (round hill of the Englishmen/hired soldiers) is in Monaghan.

They used to say 'from Carrickmacross to Crossmaglen/you'll find more rogues than honest men' - the soldiers based on this hill were probably sent there to stop their hijinks.
