Sunday morning stroll in the sunshine, absolutely roasting inside the stadium at 11am! 🥵 interesting to see how high the soil temps have jumped up in the last few weeks, moisture management will be key the next few days looking at the forecast ☀️🔥

Take 2 days holiday they said… it will be fun they said!! Chasing my tail trying to get back on top of the growth again 🤦🏻‍♂️ filled the trailer twice in the last 2 days trying to get back to the desired height of cut 🤦🏻‍♂️🤣

What a shift that was 🥵🔥 rotary cut at 28mm, over seeded with 7 bags, verti-drained at 4” depth and 2” spacing. Cylinder cut and granular feed tomorrow morning before the heavy rain that’s forecast.

Busy week with plenty growth despite the cold July temperatures. Pitch cut, sprayed and line marked today. Sward density really kicking on now! One final big push before the first game on Tuesday 💪

We’re finally back! I’ve had to manage the grow in period on my own for the last 6 weeks with no assistant 🥵 it’s been very challenging, stressful, long days, weather not ideal, but last night made it all worth it with how the pitch looked & played! 🙌 roll on 2024/25 season 💪

The day I’ve been waiting 6-7 weeks for, my new assistant started today, meaning I’m not on my own anymore 🙌🥵🤣 straight in at the deep end as we verti-cut to thin out the sward and remove any unwanted/dead grass and let the base of the plant breathe and flourish!

Pre-season comes to an end with 3 games in the last 12 days, the pitch has came through it absolutely superb, hardly a scratch on the surface! 🙌 big 2 weeks ahead as we prepare for the league starting!

Nice to have Dean Tingley and Andrew Culbert from ProPitch on site this morning carrying out our pitch performance testing. Hopefully this will help throughout Scotland to further promote and professionalize the industry, and raise the standards even more!

Vast range of tasks this week as we step up the production for Sunday’s opening league game. Things starting to look really good as we up the presentation and dial in the pattern 🌱🙌 color and contrast unreal the sunshine today!

First home league game of the 2024/25 season done 💚😍 not the result we wanted, but the presentation and performance of the pitch, plus numerous amounts of praise from both teams, pundits, supporters etc. it just makes the 4am start this morning worth while 😴🤣

Never underestimate the effort & commitment of my match day volunteers, they go above and beyond without question! This picture was captured on Sunday & they are all out there giving up their own time, but they are a valuable cog in the wheel of what we are trying to achieve 🙌💚

Took advantage of what was forecast to be a horrible day, but it turned out really nice! Double cut at 24mm, verti drain down to 5” depth and a rotary cut at 25mm to tidy up any debris👌 superb shift!

Pitch performance has been really pleasing the first 5 games. Prep & recovery maintenance is crucial to maximizing surface performance. Match day -1 gave us 17mm rainfall, but we were equipped & dealt with it. Pitch looked great pre-game & just a quick rotary tidy up at full time

Mini renovations day at ER, full pitch overseeded with 4-Tetra Ryegrass. Verti-drained to 7” depth at 1” spacings, 10 tonnes top dressing applied & brushed in. Hopefully this will see through the winter with healthy grass coverage 🌱🤞 thanks to AllGrass Turfcare for their assistance

Match day -1 prep done today. Still holding a great colour,unfortunately we’ve encountered some leaf stress due to sand application abrasion, dropping temperatures, shade issues & high disease pressure. Feed & lighting rigs next week will hopefully see these areas bounce back! 🙌
