Ken Lownds steve henshall PeteM That sounds about right Ken, P1 has a high vantage point. This pic I took in the 80’s of Hanley shopping centre being built, from the hill in central forest park. Maybe if my camera had been turned 90 degrees I might have had the same view. They are lovely pictures....

The blackbird sits high in the tree
Singing a lullaby...
As he slowly puts the sun to
bed.

That place in the kitchen...
Not a permanent place
A transient place
A waiting room, a departure lounge
For an empty bottle or tin
Waiting inline for the next shuttle
To the outside recycling bin.

Is that wasp aware of its shadow?
As it hovers 5 feet above the ground
Seemingly staring at its soft focused penumbra dancing on the paving slab below. #gardenmusings
Where is that ant going?
It emerges from a gap between the slabs
Forward, backward, forward again
To the left, to the right, dead stop, then forward again.
On and on as fast as its six legs can go. #gardenmusings
While other birds toil and weave
The pigeon crashes into the tree and places a single stick on top of the other haphazardly placed sticks.
The stick falls to the ground...
The pigeon looks down at the stick
Then leaves to find a more cooperative stick.
