The sun shone on our ChannelTitan relay swimming squad Wivey Pool 🌞 🏊‍♀️🏊‍♂️

Year 12 Cara, the youngest ever Taunton School channel swimmer, is helping Taunton Prep School school staff mentor youngsters. She was aged just 12 years & 9 days when she swam her two night relay legs in 2019👊

Our Headmaster & his Deputy Head led the annual pre-season confirmatory recce of Clevedon Marine Lake. Both confirm that at this time of year it’s still chilly🥶 However, in a couple of weeks, with some sun, our prospective Channel Relay team will begin #training there🏊‍♂️👍

And that’s a wrap on our school ski trip! Were snow sad to leave but we’ll be back carving up the slopes next year! ⛷️

Our final day of skiing, in what has been an amazing trip, saw all the groups head to the very top of the mountain and expertly negotiated the slopes in very windy conditions!

What a week! We finish the week with an awards ceremony for the fastest 3 skiers from each group down the slalom course and also the skier of the week, nominated by our amazing instructors this week!

Our final morning of skiing and it was the beginners turn to explore the very top of the mountain, practicing parallel turns with a partner and taking in the breathtaking views

Day 5 was a day of speedy slalom runs, icy conditions and loads of effort and progress! The luge and a shopping spree to the supermarket was the highlight of the evening!

What better way to spend an evening after skiing than flying round a Luge 🥵

Day 4 saw some expert skiing, including exploring a cave followed by an evening in the Tauern Spa 😍 what could possibly go wrong when you give the GoPro to the pupils..?

Our new beginners, who had never skied before this week were practicing completing their turns, parallel across the mountain and weight distribution and completed their first ever red run today!!

The advanced group went from the very very top, to the very very bottom today without a stop, even completing the Black Mamba in the process! Some serious skiing on show ⛷️🔥

Our intermediates were practicing some parallel skiing down the mountain during Day 3, alternating paces and exploring the mountain, all the way to the very top. Pupils wasted no time initiating a snowball fight against the staff at the end of the day!

Day 3 saw the beginners successfully complete their first slope while the intermediates went to the very top and tackled reds and blues to get down ⛷️ Apres Ski and a snowball fight was the perfect way to celebrate an amazing day on the slopes!

For many of our pupils, today was their first ever time skiing! Incredible work from our brilliant beginners making it look easy and having loads of fun in the process! ⛷️
