The ministerial code says all announcements of new policy should be made to parliament first. Parliament is sitting today. Why is Sunak making his announcement on sick notes outside parliament? He’s breaking his own ministerial code.

There are so many Tory scandals of money, lies and sleaze I think we need a Monitor, like we used to have the Milk Monitor in school before Thatcher took away our little bottles of milk.

I had a colleague off sick for six months with a back problem. She paid for private care because she was desperate to get back to work …in the NHS 🤷‍♀️

Surely no coincidence that this speech by Rishi Sunak on a supposed 'sicknote culture' comes as a hugely critical report by the UN committee on the rights of persons with disabilities about DWP's ongoing breaches of the UN disability convention is expected to drop any day now.

Another punitive govt policy which will disproportionately impact the lives of autistic folk.

Access to appropriate & adapted treatments is desperately needed but they don’t yet exist at scale if at all.

This is disablism. Plain and simple.

He's a monster. An absolute monster. Disabled people have on going costs. It costs thousands a year in additional costs to be disabled. He knows this. Those tories know this. He is using disabled people as canon fodder.

Remeber a few weeks ago when the UK government’s treatment of disabled people and benefits was up in front of the UN?

It’s now got worse

“It’s too easy to get disability benefits”… said by people who have never had to apply, appeal, go to tribunal, and have lost loved ones due to the inhumane process.
