OFSTED don't create happy, healthy children. They don't create opportunities in the arts. They don't create funded SEND places. End the obsession with OFSTED judgements. Scrap OFSTED.

The deliberate underfunding of our NHS over the last 14 years has pushed our NHS to breaking point. I will be doing what I can to push press the new Government to commit to solutions, which should not be sticking plasters which outsource services to the private sector.

The length of time it has taken to get this far after the horrific disaster and lives lost at Grenfell is patently unjust. There has been disgraceful buck-passing and Government must act now to short circuit this and make sure people can go to bed at night knowing they are safe.

We cannot separate the economy and climate change. Today I tabled an amendment to the Budget Responsibility Bill that would require the OBR to consider the impact of fiscally significant Government decisions on its statutory net zero target.

Enforcing planning conditions is a nightmare for everyone affected in my experience of large developments. The risks of this plan for road danger, water pollution and flooding are high and I’m disappointed the committee chose to accept them today. I’ll keep supporting residents.
