Earlier today, the Shock Trauma Center hosted Stop the bleed classes at Baltimore Peninsula. These free classes taught participants about managing severe bleeding incidents and included free Stop the bleed kits, as well as appearances from the Oriole Bird and Traumaroo!

This week, May 12-18, is National Hospital Week, an annual observance recognizing the vital role hospitals play in our communities. Most importantly, it allows us to celebrate our entire UMMC team, who plays an essential part in making sure our patients are cared for every day.

Today in Annapolis, our team members, trauma survivors and supporters were on hand as GovMoore, Sen. Pres. Ferguson & Speaker Jones signed into law expanding funding for our statewide trauma system, ensuring access to world-class trauma care for Marylanders well into the future.
