Anyone have any ideas why someone would put a ball cock in a soil vent pipe?? It was a new one on us! The pipe goes into the wall behind the bathroom but no obvious reason for it 😳

Corner cottage, Wells next the Sea, Norfolk. A lot going on here. The brick and flint gable end outline shows evidence of significant alteration. Long 'catslide' front slope to the clay pan tiled roof. Possibly originally thatched?

Top Hat Terrace on London Road in Leicester. Built in 1864 for private detective Francis 'Tanky' Smith and originally known as Victoria Terrace. The figures over the first floor windows represent a selection of his disguises. Grade 2 Listed.

Period properties on New Walk in Leicester. A largely tree lined and pedestrianised Conservation Area connecting the city centre with Victoria Park to the south.

Forming the eave &brow courses . The eave forms the horizontal overhang at the base of the roof. The brow sits on top and determines the thickness. Michal- nearest camera- is working on the brow. When we are happy with the levels a steel bar holds each course down. #Thatching .

Lee Circle multi storey car park in Leicester. Apparently the first automated barrier car park in Europe when it was opened by comedy actor Sid James in 1961 (with the new Tesco beneath it). Definitely'Marmite architecture'. Definitely divisive in the city! #concrete
