New capital funding for public schools? Great!

Except it isn't new.

Australia's 6700 public schools had to compete for $250k from a one-off $215.8m fund Labor announced in 2022.

In 2022 alone the feds gave $148m to 147 private schools in capital grants.

That's a million each.

35,000 people dead. Children literally starving to death.

Increasing standardisation and surveillance won't do a thing to stop behaviours of concern in schools.

Here's the real story:

This is a one-off $25k. From 2013-22 the fed govt gave Sunshine Heights only $120k for capital works. Total.

In that same decade a fee-charging private school just 3 minutes away pocketed $3.9 million.

A third of the increase in inflation last quarter was due to soaring school fees.

So glad Australian governments are spending $20 billion a year on private schools to help keep those fees down. #insiders

While our government looks the other way as a genocide unfolds, it's incumbent on all of us to speak up.
