๐ŸŒง๏ธ ๐Ÿšฒ First rainy bicycle commute to our elementary school. What a mess! Complete gridlock around school, cars parked on crosswalks, parked on school bus zones or literally blocking intersections to drop kids. Can we do better?

Over the weekend, drivers will need to take a detour to bypass the Ballard Bridge. It's worth noting that many cyclists face this inconvenience year-round due to narrow sidewalks and fast-moving traffic

Very sad story in Paris where a SUV driver ran over a cyclist on purpose. At least the driver was immediately arrested, and prosecutors are considering murder charges. Cars are weapons, and we need zero tolerance for road violence. france24.com/en/france/2024โ€ฆ

PSA: Every intersection is a legal crosswalk under Washington lawโ€ฆ maybe itโ€™s time for some enforcement of this lawโ€ฆ Video of a driver completely ignoring a pedestrian crossing the street in Tangletown.

I attended a corporate event in downtown Seattle with colleagues, mostly from Silicon Valley. Many were quite surprised I commuted by bus instead of driving. Why would I want to be stuck in traffic and pay $18 for parking? If the venue had secure bike parking I would have biked.

Tell us again how the actions that would allow us to avoid the #ClimateCrisis were โ€œtoo expensive.โ€ None of the record-breaking, historic or โ€œ100 yearโ€ events weโ€™ve been seeing a lot of lately are the โ€œnew normal.โ€ Because itโ€™s actually going to keep getting exponentially worse.
