I don’t think this is good enough for Arsenal personally. I do like the player and when I have watched him he shows lots of promise but it seems like a player that needs an intermediate move before taking the next step still.

There are few teams/fans that feel as arrogant and entitled as Bayern. It’s been a nice bit of schadenfreude to see them go through several options and now get hit with a request for a big payoff to get Kompany from a relegated Burnley.

This is where I am too. It’s not like he was close to being out of contract and the idea that you’re “protecting value” seems counter to evidence when the new contract sets the expectation at a new much higher level.
